Kongsberg Maritime’s Hydrodynamic Research Centre (KHRC) in Kristinehamn is looking for an engaged and knowledgeable Measurement & Test Design Engineer for our world-class testing facility for propellers and waterjets. KHRC is part of Kongsberg Maritime, a global leader in the marine industry. Our research centre is world-class thanks to expertise, technology, and commitment. We combine model-scale experiments and simulations to deliver unparalleled hydrodynamic solutions and designs that reduce fuel consumption and emissions on all types of vessels, both new builds and existing ships.
In the Measurement & Test Design Engineer position, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks from idea generation to final test reporting. This includes idea development, construction of test rigs, purchasing, assembly, conducting tests, analysis, and reporting. You will also have the opportunity to travel as part of the job.
What we think you should have
We are seeking an individual with a background in mechanical or electrical engineering and a broad interest in technology. Programming knowledge in LabView and Matlab as well as experience in construction and design with Siemens Teamcenter and NX are advantageous. Experience in turning and milling is also positive. Flexibility is also key including a willingness to perform simpler workshop tasks such as machining and technical maintenance of the test facility at KHRC.

Kongsberg works with customers from both commercial and naval marine market segments. As our Measurement Technician will work with classified data and materials, security clearance and export control are required for this position and questions related to citizenship will be part of the selection process.
