Field Service Engineer – High Voltage

We are now looking for a Field Service Engineer – High Voltage to our department Field Service Energy. You will travel the world and perform service, troubleshooting, maintenance, commissioning of new systems and technical support for our customers. You will be part of our global service team, and work with our energy products, like switchboard/switchgear, batteries, and converters.

When not traveling, you will be working with your colleagues to support our customers and employees worldwide. You will be part of a team who wants you to succeed and a culture where we help each other and share knowledge between our team globally.

Both newly graduates and experienced workers with the right background will be considered.

Key accountabilities

  • Commissioning of high voltage switchgear on new and upgrade projects
  • Service, maintenance, and modification on Kongsberg delivered energy systems (low voltage and high voltage switchgear, drives and battery solutions)
  • Attending and assist on internal/external IAT and FAT
  • Technical support on our existing energy systems in operation worldwide
  • In-House technical support towards internal and external customers

Qualifications and experience

  • High Voltage certificate group H is a requirement.
  • Electricians certificate group L (Low voltage) is an advantage.
  • Experience with high voltages switchgear, drives and protection relay test equipment is an advantage.
  • Field experience with maritime electrical systems
  • Willingness to travel on short notice.
  • Meet the health requirements that apply for offshore work.
  • Meet the requirements for applying for work visa world-wide.
  • Fluent in Norwegian and English, both oral and written
