Export Control Coordinator

We are looking for two individuals who can apply legal principles on complex cases with incomplete information.
We are looking for those who are confident in their abilities, and can argue their position in a constructive manner to team members, and to the sales organization. In the role, you will process many cases during your daily work, so you must be used to high volume and a fast pace environment. and preferably have a "what's next"-mindset.
For KM to stay competitive and compliant, sale cases to sailing vessels and customers are checked to determine if there are any sanctions or restrictive measures restricting trade. Last year around 50,000 sales cases were processed and a number of those needed to be checked out to determine its legality.

Job description:
- Internal due diligence process according to KM procedure and guidelines for sales in Americas, EMEA, ASIA etc.
- Process incoming cases within 24 / 48 hours
- Communicate with sales in KM locations and central team for Export control and sanction in Norway
- Document assessments
- Using third-party tools for vessel and customer checks
- Identify opportunities to improve response time
- Report sanction risks to senior management
Abilities:
- Strong written and oral English skills
- Knowledge of US, EU and UK sanction laws and regulations preferred
- Strong cooperation skills
- Well-versed in working in a multi-national team, across time-zones
