Software Automation Engineer, Offshore Handling Systems

Kongsberg Maritime has a long history of delivering offshore equipment of the highest quality for use in challenging maritime operations. The Control & Digital department delivers the complete scope of controls, hardware, and software, to allow the user to fully utilize the physical equipment in an efficient, safe, and predictable manner.In this role, you will be working on customer projects related to winches and handling systems in our KM Deck Machinery product portfolio. You will focus on the design, documentation, and verification of electrical control systems, as well as providing technical support and commissioning support.Key Accountabilities:
  • Execute customer deliveries

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Degree within Electrical, Computer, Cybernetic, or Automation engineering
  • Capability to understand SW & HW interaction
  • Excellent investigative and problem-solving ability
  • Experience within PLC programming and design of control systems
    • IE, Codesys, Structured text. 
  • Beneficial experience
    • CAD drawing
    • Hydraulic systems
    • Frequency converters
