Senior Project Manager, Research

An exciting opportunity has arisen as Senior Project Manager, Research at Kongsberg Maritime. In this role, you will be a part of the Research and Innovation Team, reporting to the Director of Research and Innovation in Kongsberg Maritime, Technology. You will be leading externally funded research projects within the Maritime domain, collaborating with international stakeholders.

Lead meaningful projects. Protechting People and Planet is our goal.

Responsibilities

• Lead research projects in Kongsberg Maritime within the Maritime domain with external funding (EU and national funding)
• Technical coordination with focus on system engineering / system integration
• Interact with internal and external project stakeholders typically in large multinational consortia
• Follow Kongsberg Maritime’s processes for product development and research projects
• Plan, execute and report technical and financial progress according to rules and regulations for externally funded projects
• Contribute to development of new research project applications
• Contribute to other Research and Innovation team activities (IP/IPR and Innovation)

Qualifications and experience

• Project management and technical coordination competence and experience from EU funded research and innovation projects (application and execution)
• Master’s degree within machinery systems, system engineering, ship design or other relevant fields
• Strong domain knowledge and experience from the maritime domain
• Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English
  
  

This employment may require security clearance by the Norwegian National Security Authority, clearance through Civil Aviation Authority or a background check.
