Offshore Loading Phase 2 with DP Cap
LEARNING OBJECTIVES.
The Offshore loading courses are designed to meet Equinor, OGUK and company specific requirements for training of shuttle tanker personnel. The objective of this course is to achieve optimal skills and understanding on how to handle a shuttle tanker in DP mode with use of the K-Pos DP system. The candidates will use previously acquired knowledge on manual handling and basic DP together with updated advanced DP knowledge during training on Shuttle tanker operational procedures. The course focuses on handling Shuttle Tankers in Close proximity to Floating Production Storage and Off take units (FPSO’s/FSU’s), Offshore Loading systems (OLS), Single Anchor Loading (SAL) and Direct Shuttle Loading (DSL) from various FPSO’s.
TARGET GROUP
Masters, Chief Officers and Junior Officers to be employed on DP vessels as navigators/DPO.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Completed DP CAP exercises (Preparation, Start and Field basic exercises), DPO Preparation/ DP Basic, Offshore loading Phase 2 should normally be attended within 6 to 12 months after completing Phase 1. A prerequisite for attending this course is completed DP CAP exercises for this level. The course is reduced to 3 days based on completed on board training.
