EXAM OBJECTIVESThis exam tests the skills and competence of aDPO against the requirements given in the competencestandard DNV ST-0027 colum 4 and 5, Winch Operator and Officer on Watch.
The exam is a thorough test, covering the mostimportant competences for a winch operator and OOW, in compliancewith relevant DNV competence standards. The testmeasures how well operation of equipment, dutiesand tasks are performed.
TARGET GROUPThe exam and certification is aimed at individualspresently, or in the process of becoming, responsiblefor maintaining the vessels industrial mission as an winch operator or OOW.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTSCompleated AHO level 1 and 2 together with Minimum 5 Anchor Handling Operations loged in IMCA Record Of Competence Logbook, or relevant experience as an winch operator and OOW on Anchor handling vessels.
