Arendalsuka is an annual event taking place in August where ministers, parliament politicians, industry and non-governmental organisations participate in open debates and discussions on various topics of national interest in Norway.
KONGSBERG was present and participated in several panels on important topics.
CEO Geir Håøy was high in demand and voiced KONGSBERG’s main input to politicians on what the industry needs to develop more concepts and technology for green shipping, how it is crucial to increase the pace of developing offshore wind and the need for more prioritisation on research on ocean industries.
During the week KONGSBERG hosted two events. The first event was a “space lunch” with the topic of how the space industry can grow and create new jobs, and second event was on sustainable innovation and investments where CFO Gyrid Skalleberg Ingerø together with CEO of DNB Kjerstin Braathen and Chief Economist Øystein Dørum discussed how finance is catalysing change.
