Connecting Space and Earth
KSAT is the world-leading company for maritime monitoring and surveillance services using satellite-based data from several radars- and optical services.

KSAT provides unbiased multi-mission near real-time services providing accurate information based on satellites to users worldwide in less than 20 minutes from data acquisition. The combination of KSAT ground station network and services is unrivalled.
Kongsberg Satellite Services AS (KSAT) is a leading Norwegian provider of ground station and Earth observation services, uniquely positioned to support polar-orbiting and geostationary satellites. With a strategically distributed global network, KSAT ensures unmatched coverage and responsiveness.
At the core of KSAT’s capabilities are three interconnected polar ground stations: Tromsø (69°N), Svalbard’s SvalSat (78°N), and the TrollSat Station in Antarctica (72°S). These are complemented by a robust mid-latitude network spanning South Africa, Dubai, Singapore, and Mauritius. Together, the network includes more than 60 antennas, optimally located to ensure reliable, real-time access to satellites in all key orbits.
KSAT is jointly owned by Space Norway AS and Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace AS, each holding a 50% stake. Space Norway is a state-owned enterprise under the Norwegian Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries, originally established in 1995 as a subsidiary of the Norwegian Space Centre
