The agreement includes defined service areas that will contribute to the development of Combat Information Systems (CIS) for the Norwegian armed forces. The two-year agreement can be extended by mutual acceptance.
“For us, it is important to secure access to the best resources in the market for all deliveries within CIS solutions for the armed forces,” said Gro Jære, Director General of the NDMA.
“We are now taking an important step forward to increase the delivery power of the Mime program in the coming years. The agreement includes a responsibility for KONGSBERG to create good collaboration arenas for small and medium-sized suppliers who will together create the solutions the Norwegian Armed Forces require,” said Jære.
“We look forward to work with domestic and international suppliers to create the right CIS solutions for the Norwegian armed forces,” said Eirik Lie, President of Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace.
The framework agreement is effective immediately and will be operationalized through assignment agreements for deliveries under the Mime program.
Through the Mime project, the Norwegian Armed Forces will receive relevant and timely deliveries of solutions that support operational needs and requirements and contribute to increased operational effectiveness.
