KONGSBERG joins Commonwealth of Australia’s Global Supply Chain Program

KONGSBERG is delighted to announce that it has been awarded a contract to join the Commonwealth of Australia's recently launched Global Supply Chain (GSC) Program.

Locally, Kongsberg Defence Australia (KDAu) and Kongsberg Maritime represent KONGSBERG Groups wide range of products that are applicable to the defence, maritime, air, land, space and cyber domains, as well as a large number of commercially focussed maritime products.

As KONGSBERG expands its global presence, being part of the GSC Program provides another opportunity for KONGSBERG in Australia to continue to contribute towards creating a resilient and competitive sovereign defence capability supporting a whole-of-Government approach through Defence and commercial export opportunities.

Kongsberg Defence Australia’s Managing Director Mr John Fry said ‘The GSC Program has successfully facilitated many contracts since its establishment, boosting the global competitiveness of many Australian suppliers. We are delighted to be one of the new Primes selected as part of this program and look forward to identifying export opportunities for Australian suppliers to produce world-class and innovative defence capabilities in support of KONGSBERG’s international supply chain.’

Jamie Kilsby, Country Manager for Kongsberg Maritime Australia said ‘In partnership with Kongsberg Defence Australia, it is highly beneficial having a dedicated GSC team embedded in our local workforce that can support, and advocate for, Australian suppliers to access opportunities in KONGSBERG’s global markets and supply chains.
