Project Manager

We are looking for a Project Manager that can join our Vessel Robotics team. In this role you will manage several delivery projects which includes close contact with our project partner Jotun and close cooperation with shipowners which are the end-user. Key responsibilities for a Project Manager are planning, executing, and delivering project on time, within scope and within budget. Additionally, you will work closely with other departments within Kongsberg Discovery and support the Sales dep. with technical queries.

The Project Manager is a key leader who drives project success by fostering collaboration, mitigating risk and maintaining clear communication among stakeholders. You will work on a product that takes on some of the world’s most challenging problems within environment and sustainability.

Responsibilities

  • Define project scope, objectives and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules and budgets.
  • Identify potential risk and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Follow up and report project status (e.g., progress, cost, profit).
  • Project documentation according to internal routines.
  • Contribute to continuous improvements culture.

Qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree within marine engineering, marine electronics, nautical science or within another relevant technical field. Relevant experience may compensate for a formal degree.
  • Experience from the maritime industry is an advantage.
  • Experience from project management for delivery projects or aspiring for such a challenge.
  • Good technical knowledge.
  • Good oral and written communications skills in English and Norwegian.
  • Good knowledge from ERP (AX), MS Office and other relevant IT tools.
