ETO Design Engineer – Control systems

Kongsberg Maritime is seeking a ETO Design Engineer for Control systems to join our Product Management team within the Thruster Systems business unit for a fixed-term contract until 31.12.2026.

You will be an important member of our team and play a key role in ensuring our control system design is delivered according to customer expectations. While collaborating closely with other colleagues, and by interaction with classification societies, you will contribute to successful deliveries and satisfied customers.

Responsibilities

  • Create tailored designs, detailed technical drawings and documentation for control systems solutions according to client specifications
  • Collaborate with the engineering teams, supply chain and project managers to ensure designs meet project requirements.
  • Provide technical support during the design, delivery installation and commissioning phases.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in the field of electric engineering
  • Experience on designing electrical systems
  • Experience of relevant engineering software/tools like Electric CAD, Siemens TeamCenter
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft office tools
  • Experience in maritime business is considered as an advantage
  • Good communication skills, both in Finnish and English is required
