Model

The K-Sim Engine MAN model is built on real engine data, ensuring that its dynamic behavior closely mirrors actual engine responses. Alongside the MAN slow-speed turbocharged diesel engine, the vessel features a comprehensive electrical power plant, including three 1125 kVA diesel generators and a 250 kVA emergency generator. The steam plant is equipped with two Alfa Laval D-type steam boilers, one Aalborg composite boiler, three cargo turbines, and a complete condensing and feed water system. Additionally, the simulator includes a control room operator station, bridge, and steering panels for a fully immersive training experience.

Compliant with industry requirements

Kongsberg Maritime’s simulator models exceed the requirements set by the STCW Convention, Regulation I/12, and meet the rigorous standards of DNV GL’s DNVGL-ST-0033 for Maritime Simulator Systems, ensuring high-quality, industry-compliant training solutions.
