K-Sim® Engine Diesel Electric Drillship DE66
The K-Sim Engine Diesel Electric Drillship DE66 model is based on a Dynamic Positioning (DP) class diesel-electric drillship. This model features MAN 16V32/40 diesel engines that generate power to the high-voltage switchboards, enabling efficient operation of the vessel.

The propulsion system is comprised of six Azimuth thrusters, providing superior maneuverability and dynamic positioning capability for precise and reliable drilling operations.
Model
The primary objective of the simulator is to provide a comprehensive understanding of the operation and systems of sophisticated propulsion machinery. The simulator includes three fully independent engine rooms, each equipped with all relevant systems and controls to enable realistic and effective training scenarios.
Compliant with industry requirements
Kongsberg Maritime simulator models exceed the requirements outlined in the STCW Convention, Regulation 1/12, and comply with DNV’s standard DNV-ST-0033 for Maritime Simulator Systems.
