Test Engineer

As a member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the high quality of our products by designing, developing, and executing software tests that support Kongsberg Maritime mission of delivering reliable and efficient solutions.

Employment:

  • Trial period 3 months
  • Permanent employment contract (after trail period)
  • Hybrid working model - up to 50% (after trial period)

 

Key accountabilities:

  • Explore, learn, and analyze the system to create innovative tests in collaboration with your test team.
  • Develop and improve the test strategy together with test architects.
  • Automate testing by creating/improving the test systems and scripting tests.
  • Execute tests, automated, manual and exploratory.
  • Design, build and maintain test environments.
  • Always strive for continuous improvements.

 

Qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor or master level in computer science, control systems, or similar.
  • Experience and interest with software development and testing in particular.
  • Good knowledge of Python and Bash. Advanced knowledge in another programming language can compensate.
  • Basic C++ knowledge is an advantage.
  • Experience with Robot Framework or other test automation framework is an advantage
  • Experience with Linux system configuration and operation (Embedded, WSL).
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes is an advantage.
  • Experience with HIL testing.
  • Experience with AzureDevops and DevOps methodologies is an advantage.
  • ISTQB certification is an advantage.
  • Very good verbal and written English.
