Technical Support Engineer, Control Systems

We are looking for a skilled Technical Support Engineer to join Global Customer Support department for a one-year fixed-term position. This position is ideal for electrical engineering expert eager to contribute their expertise and drive impactful results. In this role you will act as our customers' primary technical support. Your duties include technical support related to the use of thruster control systems and frequency converters, determining and solving faults in the maintenance network, and assisting in problem situations related to thruster control systems. Success in the task requires problem-solving skills, initiative and good communication skills. Competent and experienced colleagues support you in an open and conversational team.

Qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor or Master in relevant field. Relevant experience might compensate for a formal degree.
  • Knowledge of vessel control systems
  • Fluent written and verbal communication skills in Finish and English.
  • Previous experience with PLM systems (experience with Team Center is an advantage)
  • Experience and knowledge of shipbuilding and maritime industry are considered as an advantage
