Support Advisor
Kongsberg Maritime, Global Customer Support (GCS) division is responsible for all Kongsberg Maritime’s services and support in the aftermarket. Field Service Navigation supports our Integrated Navigation systems for all types of vessels. Our projects are based on Service, Commissioning, upgrades / replacement of KM and other makers’ Integrated Navigation Systems on vessels worldwide.
The Navigation department in GCS is looking for a new Support Advisor. In this position you will take an active part in increased quality focus and advanced customer support. The Support Advisor is a new function in the Navigation GCS department. In this role you will be part of a global team of Technical Advisors and work closely with Field Service Engineers and Lead Engineer for the discipline.
Responsibilities
- Providing technical support to colleagues and customers worldwide
- Being an active contributor for quality assurance in the department
- Contributing to incident investigations and advanced cases
- Acting as an enabler for following up cases, ensuring that progress is made, and that the customer is kept up to date on solutions
- Collaborating with other disciplines in cases spanning across several product groups
- Performing pre-brief and de-brief of travelling Field Service Engineers
- On-demand: Revise and create training material used for internal and/or external courses
- On-demand: Work as instructor for courses, mainly for internal training
- Maintenance of documentation
Qualifications and experience
- Preferably experience as field service engineer from maritime business
- Engineer (BSc/MSc) or relevant technical education/experience
- Knowledge about most subjects within the Navigation discipline
- Overall focus on quality and customer needs
- Accept travelling, as required
- Fluent written and spoken Norwegian and English
