Financial Analyst

The Financial Analyst will support regional operations, particularly in the U.S. and Canada, with financial analysis, reporting, and process improvements to optimize operational effectiveness. In this role, you’ll develop and maintain financial models, create monthly and quarterly reports, and play a pivotal role in budgeting, forecasting, and asset management for regional maritime workshops. The position involves collaboration across operations, supply chain, and finance teams, ensuring data-driven insights to aid business decisions.

 

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Update monthly and quarterly reports daily, including KPI dashboards, utilized by operations to track performance on an ongoing basis.
  • Build financial models to track operational performance, monitor expenses, and analyze trends across departments.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting by managing data sources, quality checks, and alignment with accounting standards.
  • Assist in the development of annual budgets and forecasts, and support long-term financial planning with a focus on regional operational needs.
  • Evaluate current workflows, helping identify inefficiencies and working to implement solutions
  • Actively participate in the continuous improvement of reporting processes, exploring new ways to incorporate automation or tools to streamline data reporting.
  • Support the implementation, and maintenance of an asset management tool across workshops, helping maintain accurate data in the ERP system
  • Support monthly business reviews with through providing reporting, and updating presentations.

 

Qualifications:

  • Must be based in Houston
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; Master's degree preferred, but not required.
  • 3-5 years experience in FP&A, Financial Analyst or similar Operations facing finance role.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and financial software/tools, specifically Power BI, Datawarehouse, VBA, Power Query & AX 2012 ERP, including any experience with asset management tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build effective cross-functional relationships.
  • Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific operational finance practices and trends is a plus.
