Director Strategy and Business Development

We are looking for the next Director Strategy and Business Development in our global Sales and Marketing organization. This is a great opportunity to develop your career within a global organization with great people and great offerings.  

You will be part of the Global Sales and Marketing leadership team, reporting to EVP Sales and Marketing in Kongsberg Maritime.

You will be the one who drives: 

  • Strategic Plans: Look for ways to grow the business, craft our Sales Roadmap that drives growth. Develop long-term strategic sales plans and ensure we track against.
  • Market Insights: Collect, analyze and work to embed market and industry data, competitor intelligence, and customer feedback into sales plans.
  • Business cases: Develop and refine business cases including market potential, pricing, value propositions etc that align with our sales objectives.
  • Collaboration: Engage with the different parts of the business to ensure the market requirements are embedded in their development plans. Be the integrator!
  • Functional expertise: participate in different technology fora and steering committees. Work closely with the Business Development community. Represent the voice of the customer!
  • Strategic projects: participate in or take lead on strategic projects for the company. Be a company-wide capacity!
  • Strategic leadership and cultural catalyst: Actively contribute to operational and strategic discussions in the leadership team and foster a great leadership culture. Be a positive driving force!

We highly appreciate the following background and experience: 

  • Master’s degree within Business Administration, Engineering, Marketing, Finance, or related field
  • Experience: Minimum 4-5 years of experience in consultancy or a similar role with exposure to strategic analysis, data interpretation, and business planning.
  • Solid financial understanding and a commercial mind-set with knowledge of how to establish strategies and plans

Since you will be working in a global environment, we expect you to have strong English skills and be able to travel as required.
