Development Engineer with a strong interest in FPGA / electronics

Kongsberg Discovery is growing - and we want you to be part of our journey. Join us as a Development Engineer at our newly acquired Naxys Technologies in Bergen. In this role, you will be important in developing and delivering high-technology products and services for our customers.

 

Our colleagues in Bergen have cutting-edge expertise in passive hydroacoustics. The technology provides environmental monitoring for the oil and gas industry, in addition to being well-positioned for growth in both the research and defence markets. Naxys Technologies has a strong technology base and handles the entire value chain from development, production, testing, commissioning, to operational follow-up. The business is centrally located at Hegreneset, a 5-minute drive from Bergen city center.

What you will be doing

  • Architecture, design, implementation, simulation, verification, and system integration
  • Implementation of FPGA technology for:
    • High-Speed Data Collection
    • Signal Processing
    • Implementation of communication protocols
    • Embedded processor, SoC, and SoftCore FPGA
  • We use a Linux development environment and are looking for candidates with experience and familiarity with Linux.

We think you should have

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in electronics/computer engineering/communication technology or equivalent
  • Experience and good knowledge in FPGA development
  • Interest in working in an interdisciplinary development environment
  • Good understanding of digital design
  • Desire and ability to receive and share knowledge
  • Good knowledge of Norwegian and English, both written and spoken
