Project Coastal Monitoring
Dive into the exciting world of autonomous exploration with the Uncrewed Surface Vehicle-internship. Welcome to an unparalleled journey where cutting-edge technology meets hands-on experience.
During this internship, our interns will work with our business area Kongsberg Discovery, and the team will work hands-on with some of the world's most modern sensor systems, collecting, analyzing, and presenting data from the ocean.
Sensor package
The heartbeat of this project lies in the hands of the Uncrewed Surface Vehicle, armed with some of the world's most advanced sensory equipment. The project focuses on integrating ocean sensors such as sonars, echo sounders, and camera clusters with autonomy and collision avoidance on a fully electric and experimental survey vessel.
Additionally, the team will be responsible for controlling and interfacing with the autonomous vehicle, elevating their experience to new heights.
Object recognition and tagging
In this innovative domain, the team is dedicated to creating machine learning software. The team will design machine learning software with the ability to identify objects in both the camera cluster and ocean data. This software is essential for tracking objects vital for navigation or sensor payload, playing a pivotal role in object recognition.
Data presentation
The team's mission? To skillfully collect, analyze, and process data, and present the payload and navigation system data on an autonomous vehicle.
This internship offers an unparalleled opportunity for hands-on experience in autonomous exploration. With a focus on integrating advanced ocean sensors, the team's mission is to skillfully collect, analyze, and present data while controlling and interfacing with the autonomous vehicle. T
The project's innovative domain extends to the creation of machine learning software, crucial for object recognition and tracking within the camera cluster and ocean data.
If you're ready to immerse yourself in the future of autonomous vessels, seize the opportunity offered by the Coastal Monitoring USV-internship. This is not just an internship; it's an invitation to shape the future of technology and exploration.
