KONGSBERG signs orders to the CROWS program valued MNOK 125
The orders with the U.S. Army are for delivery of Low Profile CROWS («Common Remotely Operated Weapon Station») configuration for the M1A2 Abrams Main Battle Tank. The orders are related to the CROWS contract signed in August 2012.
KONGSBERG buys 49.9 % of Patria creating a leading Nordic defence partnership
Today, KONGSBERG has entered into an agreement with the Finnish state for the purchase of 49.9 % of the shares in Patria for EUR 272 million. Patria is Finland’s leading defence supplier and owns 50 % of the shares in the Norwegian company Nammo. The partnership will be a leading defence supplier in the Nordics, and a considerable supplier on the European defence market, with total gross revenues of NOK 13.4 billion in 2015.
KONGSBERG Protector MCRWS selected for Stryker
General Dynamics Land Systems has notified KONGSBERG that the ’PROTECTOR’ Medium Caliber Remote Weapon Station (MCRWS) has been selected as the 30-millimeter weapon system solution for the Stryker vehicles.
Remote Towers presented: - Significant international potential
On Monday, the CEOs of Avinor, KONGSBERG and Indra Navia came together to present their plans for remote-operated air traffic control towers. This initiative is the largest to be ever launched in this sector of international air transport, and will provide safe and efficient operations at Norwegian airports in the years ahead.
Record number of summer students at KONGSBERG
This year KONGSBERG welcomes a record number of 179 summer students, up from last year’s record of 145. KONGSBERG received a record high 2008 applications for the jobs, up from 1350 applications in 2014.
KONGSBERG to deliver PROTECTOR RWS to Australia
KONGSBERG has signed a production contract with the vehicle manufacturer Supacat Pty, Ltd in Australia for the delivery of PROTECTOR Remote Weapon Systems. The end user is the Commonwealth of Australia (CoA).
