KMSS wins prestigious prize


KMSS received the Lloyd's List Award for Technological Excellence in Training

KMSS was awarded the "Technological Excellence in Training Award" at the prestigious "Lloyd`s List Salute to Maritime Excellence Awards" on 17 October. The ceremony took place at the Royal Naval College, Greenwich, London and was attended by more than 350 leading figures from the maritime world.

The judging criteria included the "adaptability of the training techniques to meet a new need or to provide more effective training for an ongoing need". As well as the quality of the design they also considered "the cost effectiveness of the training application".

The panel of judges, chaired by Julian Parker, Secretary of the Nautical Institute, believed that KMSS demonstrated outstanding innovation and a clear insight into the needs of maritime training in today`s competitive markets. This award highlights KMSS as the leading provider of training solutions, from Full 360° Mission Simulators through to PC based ships bridge simulators.

KMSS won accolade for innovations in training such as its Maritime-eCampus.com the global Internet portal which provides a complete e-learning solution for maritime schools, training centres and ship owners worldwide. Maritime-eCampus.com will be launched at Europort 2001 in Amsterdam, where KMSS will be exhibiting more of their award winning technology.

E-learning is the latest initiative from KMSS, which is the only company offering a complete line of simulation and training systems, ranging from Computer Based Training (CBT) modules to Full Mission Simulators, and now Internet based e-learning tools and modules.
