Kongsberg Digital to deliver state-of-the-art K-Sim Fishery simulator to VDAB in Belgium

Kongsberg Digital has signed a contract with VDAB (the Flemish Service for Employment and Vocational Training) in Belgium for the delivery of a K-Sim Full Mission Fishery Simulator for beam trawling. Surpassing STCW-F (Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers for Fishing Vessel Personnel) requirements, the unique functionality, flexibility and hydrodynamic realism of K-Sim Fishery were key criteria in VDAB’s significant commitment.

Natural Power has signed an agreement with Kongsberg Digital to use applications for wind asset management, hosted on KONGSBERG’s digital ecosystem Kognifai. Natural Power, a leading renewable energy and infrastructure consultancy, currently manages 5 GW of renewable energy capacity across Europe and the US. The cooperation between Natural Power and Kongsberg Digital entails capture and storage of data from assets as well as performance, reporting- and analytics services.

 
Advanced new firefighting simulator improves maritime safety training

Asker, January 23, 2019 – Kongsberg Digital has unveiled an innovative new simulator solution for training officers and crew in advanced firefighting. Providing vital education for preparedness in accordance with the STCW Code requirements, K-Sim Safety offers high fidelity simulation covering all aspects of fire safety. K-Sim Safety contributes to reducing the impact of fire on board as well as planning strategies and tactics to control fire in various parts of the ship, enabling a safer and more effective response to incidents when they occur.
