Kongsberg Maritime Subsea will during the summer of 2016 put together a project team of four students who will work together throughout the period. The task at hand is to build, test and develop innovative solutions on an inspection ROV.
The team will consist of four students, one responsible for each area of the development: SW, HW, mechanics and a project manager. The project demands experience and focus within several different areas: software, sensors, control algorithms, hardware integration, communication, acoustics, and mechanical design.
Kongsberg Maritime Subsea is pioneers when it comes to development of AUVs and subsea acoustic communication along with hydrography and fishery equipment. High demands on reliability and collected data quality are met through innovative solutions from collaboration between different technology branches.
The project will focus on autonomy along with establishing an acoustic communication link to serve as a replacement of the mounted tether.
Applications will be assessed on the fly. Apply now! Our plan is to complete the project team before 31.12.
