The Simrad ES38-12 is a medium-sized split-beam transducer designed for fish-finding and scientific applications.
The Simrad ES38-12 comprises a total of 32 piezo-ceramic elements organized in three sectors.
The transducer is mounted flush with the hull plating. By means of bolts through the holes in the transducer, the body is secured to a mounting plate. The mounting plate is welded into the hull plating. The transducer can also be flush-mounted in the same manner at the bottom of a blister or a drop keel.
The transducer cable penetrates the hull using a stuffing tube and a cable gland.
