The EK80 Portable is a complete echo sounder system for scientific use. It is an all-in-one rugged solution with compact PC, echo sounder transceiver and GPS. Built-in WiFi lets you control and operate the system from any handheld device or laptop.
Flexible Operations for Research
The EK80 Portable is a compact solution that can be deployed from a small vessel in a rough environment. The system is built around the WBT Mini transceiver. All units are installed in a rugged, splash-proof case, and is easy to handle and quick to deploy. This design delivers exceptional flexibility in configuring either split-beam or single-beam transducers, or a variety of combinations.
Typical Installations
The EK80 Portable can be typically operated in mobile surveys from small boats, or in fixed location for fish counting in rivers. The compact all-in-one design minimizes the need for planning the installing and the need for available interfaces.
