The EK80 Portable Entry is all you need for ecosystem monitoring and analysis in one package - at a reasonable price. It comprises a complete rugged echo sounder, built-in computer, transducer, and processing software for analysing data.
All-in-One Echo Sounding Solution
The core of the product is the EK80 Portable, which is a compact and rugged solution with built-in transceiver, computer, GPS, and WiFi. The Entry bundle comes with the ES38-18/200-18 transducer, which comprises both a 38 kHz split-beam and a 200 kHz single-beam, allowing for data acquisition with multiple frequencies. Combining high and low frequencies is ideal for mapping ecosystem components and separating fish from plankton.
Enhanced Data Analysis
The Echoview post-processing module is also included in the bundle. This tool allows for measurements of biomass and size distribution, species separation, ecosystem mapping and habitat classification. The license can only import data from EK80 Portable Entry and includes three months of maintenance and technical support.
Upgradeable and Customisable
The EK80 Portable can be upgraded to additional transducers and FM pulse transmissions at a later stage. We can offer upgrades to other EK configurations as well as training for the Entry bundle.
