EK80
Software for scientific echo sounders and ADCP
EK80 is the software for logging and configuring the EK family of scientific echo sounders and ADCP. It is a high-precision system designed to quantify and monitor underwater ecosystems. The EK80 is a wideband system with an operational range from 10 kHz to 500 kHz. The extreme range resolution and improved target characterization allow for a wide range of oceanographic applications.
All-in-one Software
EK80 is a complete system for operating the EK family of products. It has all capabilities included to ensure that the system has the optimum performance: full configuration capability of the system, various BIST and plots for diagnostics, built-in calibration module for echo sounders and ADCP, logging of raw files with configuration and position data included, data export in various formats. Real-time operation provides echo integration and target strength analysis in an unlimited number of layers.
ADCP Support
The KONGSBERG Acoustic Doppler Current Profilers (ADCPs) are tightly integrated in EK80. The ADCPs and echo sounders can be controlled in the same instance, eliminating the need for external transmit synchronisation. EK80 has a built-in ADCP calibration wizard that can calibrate multiple ADCPs simultaneously in less than 1 hour. The ADCP data is stored in the raw data together with the echo sounders. The EK80 can also export processed current velocity data ready for integration with other systems.
