EK Family

The EK80 scientific echo sounder family provides high‐quality target strength, target position, and volume backscatter strength measurements over a large dynamic range for a wide range of frequencies. 

The EK80 Family comprises transceivers, transducers, EK80 software, and EK Mission Planner, for all types of marine explorations using echo sounders.

EK80 Software

At the heart of this family is the EK80 software which processes and displays the data from the acoustic signals transmitted and acquired by the echo sounders.

Transceivers and Transducers

The transceiver functionality is placed in various available products such as WBT, WBT Mini, WBT Tube, WBAT, and EK80 Portable. Each of these transceivers can connect to one or more suitable transducers. The variety of models are offered to exactly fit any customer's application.

Autonomous Systems

WBAT and WBT Mini are offered as autonomous transceivers. For planning and configuration of the mission, the EK Mission Planner is offered. The mission plan is downloaded in advance, and after retrieval EK80 can be used for further analysis and investigation of the data.
