Simrad PX Universal

We have provided the Simrad PX Universal in three different versions. The type of sensor lid defines the version. The basic PX Universal measures roll, pitch, height and the sensor's battery status.

The PX Universal Depth/Temperature (D/T) is the most popular version. In addition to roll, pitch, height, and battery status, it measures depth and water temperature. The D/T version is often used on seine nets to measure depth, sink rate, and height from the sea bottom to the lead line.

The PX Universal Catch/Temperature (C/T) measures water temperature and catch in addition to the basic measurements.

This sensor is a part of the Simrad PX System.

To receive information from this gear monitoring sensor, you need a suitable receiver (PI or SR Series), one or more hydrophones, and a computer running the Simrad TV80 or Simrad PI50 programs.

This Simrad PX System is compatible with all our PI Hydrophones. However, it can also use non-Simrad hydrophones, provided the communication frequency matches.
