Simrad PX MultiSensor

We provide the Simrad PX MultiSensor in several different versions, each defined by the type of sensor lid.

The basic PX MultiSensor measures spread and twin spread, roll and pitch, height, geometry, geometry differential, and the sensor battery status. To measure geometry, you need an additional Geometry transponder.

The PX MultiSensor Catch/Temperature (C/T) version can make the same measurements as the basic version, plus catch and water temperature.

The PX MultiSensor Depth/Temperature (D/T) version can measure depth and water temperature in addition to the basic measurements.

By default, a PX MultiSensor Mk2 can always make two measurements. An additional license is required to make more than two measurements. You can add a maximum of three additional measurements. We do not consider remote functions as a measurement,

Beyond measurements, the Simrad PX MultiSensor offers remote geometry and spread measurement functionalities. These advanced sensor functions facilitate monitoring without exhausting the sensor's capacity to conduct up to two measurements simultaneously or five with the purchase of a dedicated license.

Please note that the PX MultiSensor is available in two versions: the discontinued Mk1 and the current Mk2. Owners of the older version can update their sensors to Mk2 functionality.

This sensor is a part of the Simrad PX System.

To receive information from this gear monitoring sensor, you need a suitable receiver (PI or SR Series), one or more hydrophones, and a computer running the Simrad TV80 or Simrad PI50 programs.

This Simrad PX System is compatible with all our PI Hydrophones. However, it can also use non-Simrad hydrophones, provided the communication frequency matches.
