The Sounder USV is an eight-meter, general-purpose uncrewed surface vessel, specifically designed for enhanced hydroacoustic sensor performance. This configuration includes a gondola, along with advanced communication equipment, situational awareness sensors, payload sensors, and mission control systems, ensuring seamless uncrewed operations and data collection.
Generous moonpool for payload exchange and upgrades
This version supports multiple sensor integrations and features a generous moonpool for payload exchange and upgrades. With core navigation and communication systems consistent across all configurations, the Sounder USV provides additional capabilities for payloads that benefit from the gondola’s structure. It can carry a wide range of Kongsberg’s sensors for hydroacoustic mapping, positioning, communication, fish detection, and oceanographic research, integrated into the hull, moonpool, or gondola for maximum versatility.
