Team Leader, Technical Support

Technical Support is a department in Global Customer Support, Propulsion and Handling, supporting the mechanical and hydraulic of the product portfolio. As a Team Leader Technical Support for GCS Thrusters in Ulsteinvik you will play an important role ensuring customer inquiries and requirements are met. You will lead by example, fostering a collaborative culture, driving technical excellence, and delivering outstanding customer care. 

 

Responsibilities 

  • Provide Technical Support to customers and internal stakeholders. 
  • Handle customer claims and warranty cases, and develop technical reports as required.  
  • Manage the Technical Support team, providing line management, mentoring, and engagement with other support teams. 
  • Support, develop and improve documentation related to products, services and training. 
  • Drive best practice incident management of issues impacting our customers, including escalation and communication within the business. 
  • Track and triage incidents against issues. 
  • Manage team metrics and strategic objectives. 
 

Qualifications and experience 

  • Bachelor or Master in relevant field. Relevant experience might compensate for a formal degree. 
  • Proven Leadership experience. 
  • Fluent written and verbal communication skills in Norwegian and English. 
  • Knowledge of Propulsion & Handling Thrusters product portfolio is beneficial. 
  • Experience with handling customer negotiations is beneficial.
