Team Leader Engineering

Engineering is a department in Global Customer Support, Propulsion and Handling, supporting the mechanical and hydraulic of the product portfolio. As a Team Leader Engineering for GCS Thrusters in Rauma you will play an important role ensuring customer inquiries and requirements are met. You will lead by example, fostering a collaborative culture, driving technical excellence, and delivering outstanding customer care. 

Responsibilities 

  • Provide Engineering to customers and internal stakeholders including also Life Cycle studies
  • Handle customer upgrades  and develop retrofits as required.  
  • Manage the Engineering team, providing line management, mentoring, and engagement with other support teams. 
  • Support, develop and improve documentation related to products, services and training. 
  • Co-operate with Product Management
  • Give sales support for Sales Team 
  • Steering the network of subcontractors 
  • Manage team metrics and strategic objectives. 

Qualifications and experience 

  • Bachelor or Master in relevant field. Relevant experience might compensate for a formal degree. 
  • Proven Leadership experience, or passionate about leading and eager to take the first step in your leadership journey.
  • Fluent written and verbal communication skills in Finish and English. 
  • Knowledge of Propulsion & Handling Thrusters product portfolio and Marine Industry is beneficial. 
  • Experience tools like Teamcenter, NX and Autocad
  • Experience with handling customer negotiations is beneficial.
