Team Lead, Engineering

An exciting opportunity has arisen as Team Lead Engineering within Offshore and Special Purpose, Propulsion & Handling. In this role, you will be leading a group of highly skilled engineers. Our team develops, deliver and maintain complex winch and handling systems for a broad range of vessels within the offshore market. With us you will contribute to developing new and exciting products and be part of a highly skilled team. We are looking for candidates who are motivated and passionate about being in the forefront of technology development in the industry.

The position is in our Handling business area which owns, develops and delivers world class handling solutions, with focus on system solutions and integration driving increased efficiency in our customers' operations. The area is responsible for product and technology development, supply chain operations and project delivery for all Kongsberg Maritime’s winches and handling solutions.

What you will be doing

  • Lead and manage a team of talented mechanical and hydraulic engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment every day.
  • Actively participate in the design, development, and implementation of systems and products.
  • Guide and oversee the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge systems and products.
  • Provide guidance and support to your engineering team, helping them reach their full potential.
  • Support project administration and engineering manager, ensure projects within department are completed on time, within budget, and to the correct quality standards.
  • Uphold and implement agreed engineering processes and procedures.

We think you should have

  • Degree within mechanical engineering or similar.
  • Competence within mechanical 3D-design is preferable.
  • Knowledge of structural calculation is an advantage.
  • Experience with technical- and people management is an advantage.
  • Experience from working with project execution and customer interaction.
  • Practical experience from maritime industry or experience from offshore marine operations is beneficial.
