Summer Internship 2025: Resilient Navigation at Kongsberg Discovery - Seatex

Kongsberg Discovery - Seatex is at the forefront of technological innovation, and we invite you to be part of our journey this summer. We're searching for students in Trondheim who are eager to blend their academic pursuits with real-world applications, particularly in the realm of GNSS denied navigation, inertial solutions and situational awareness.

This year’s projects focus on Resilient Navigation, which involves developing robust navigation systems that can operate effectively when traditional GNSS signals are unavailable or unreliable. This includes working with inertial navigation technology, situational awareness and sensor fusion to ensure accurate positioning in challenging environments.

We're seeking talent in the following areas:

  • Programming
  • Electronics Design
  • Physics & Mathematics
  • Control Systems & Cybernetics
  • FPGA Design
  • Mechanical Design

If you align with any of these expertise areas and have a genuine passion for technology, we'd be delighted to consider you for our summer project. Please note that employment with us may require clearance by the Norwegian National Security Authority, clearance through Civil Aviation Authority or a background check.

What we can offer
Kongsberg Discovery is part of a project called Workation in Trondheim, which offers a unique summer program for students with a job in one of the 20 participating companies. Among the activities the students got to experience during the summer of 2024 was a kayak trip on the Nidelva river, a padel tournament, go-karting, bowling, and beer tasting at ØX. All is free for you as a student! This summer program is a great opportunity to get to know new people across companies and make friends for life. We and Workation will make sure you have an unforgettable summer here in Trondheim.
