Server IT Engineer

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Server IT Engineer to join our team in Kongsberg. As a Server IT Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining server infrastructure that supports both Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) systems. You will work onshore and offshore, participate in remote monitoring and maintenance of offshore installations, and contribute to good compliance with Cyber Security requirements in all deliveries

Key accountabilities 

  • Design, configure and maintain VMware vSphere solutions 

  • Design, configure and maintain Veeam backup solutions 

  • Design, configure, maintenance of Microsoft and Linux server environments 

  • Design, configure, maintenance of Microsoft client environment 

  • Participate in remote monitoring and maintenance of offshore installations 

 
 

Qualifications and experience 

  • A degree in IT or relevant experience than can compensate formal education.  

  • Fluent in Norwegian and English (verbal and written). 

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in managing and implementing a server infrastructure
