Procurement Lead (12-months Contract)

The Procurement in Integration & Energy is responsible for delivery solutions to Offshore market, serving the shipyards and ship owners in Singapore, China region. Under the guidance of the Regional Procurement Manager and in collaboration with the Procurement Lead, the Project Team of Kongsberg oversees procurement and ensures successful project delivery.

What you will be doing

  • Follow up on Purchase Order in meeting project delivery milestone for regular monitoring with suppliers (local and overseas), logistics and/or delivery engineer(s)
  • Interface with Project Planner for project delivery alignment
  • Responsible for Logistics arrangement to import or export from Singapore and/or overseas after FAT for each system or package.
  • The ability to influence for on time delivery from suppliers
  • Follow up with suppliers for POs confirmation
  • Obtain progress milestone certification and/or proof of delivery from suppliers/contractor to proceed for payment and any other adhoc duties assigned

We think you should have

  • Experience in contract negotiation, risk assessment, and strong interpersonal and communication skills are advantageous.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and within tight timelines while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multicultural team.
  • Independent, proactive attitude with a commitment to meeting deadlines.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of consistently delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
  • High degree of computer literacy and a willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Proficiency in Chinese, facilitating seamless collaboration with external parties in a multinational environment.
