We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Engineering Intern to join our Global Customer Support Department. This role is ideal for students passionate about maritime technology, automation, and control systems. As an intern, you will work closely with experienced engineers to support both regional and global clients, gaining hands-on experience in automation and navigation systems.

What you will be doing

  • Assist engineers in the commissioning, troubleshooting, and servicing of Kongsberg Maritime products, including Automation, Dynamic Positioning and Navigation systems onboard vessels.
  • Provide support in generating service reports, updating technical documentation, and maintaining databases for ongoing projects.
  • Prepare technical documentation and workshop testing for product installations and service activities.
  • Participate in remote guidance and support activities to assist customers and internal teams with technical issues
  • Aid in pre- and post-administrative tasks related to service activities, including document handling and communication with clients.
  • Collaborate with sales and technical teams to address customer inquiries and contribute to technical discussions and any adhoc tasks assigned.

We think you should have

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program in Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or a related marine engineering field
  • Basic knowledge of automation, control, or navigation systems is a plus
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A meticulous, methodical approach to problem-solving and attention to detail
  • Enthusiastic about learning and open to hands-on, technical work in the maritime industry
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team
