Group Manager - Vessel Control Systems

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Group Manager to lead our Offshore Vessel Control Systems team. As part of our Vessel Systems unit within Automation & Control, you will play a key role in developing cutting-edge automation, bridge, and electro solutions that set the industry standard. Since pioneering the first Dynamic Positioning system in the 1970s, Kongsberg Maritime has led the way in maritime technology innovation. Your Role & Responsibilities

As Group Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating and developing a highly skilled team of software engineers to maintain our market-leading position. Your key duties include:

  • Leading and managing a team of software engineers
  • Overseeing daily operations and resource planning
  • Developing and implementing best practices, routines, and processes
  • Enhancing team competencies through training and mentorship
  • Ensuring project execution aligns with Kongsberg Maritime’s Quality Management System (QMS) and HSE standards
  • Collaborating with our global delivery teams to drive innovation

What We Are Looking For

We seek a strong leader with a passion for maritime technology and a track record of managing high-performing teams. To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Higher education in a relevant field or equivalent experience
  • Experience with Kongsberg Automation Systems is an advantage. 
  • Proficiency in English and Norwegian (written and spoken)
