Department Manager – Machinery Systems

As Department Manager - Machinery Systems, you will report to Vice President – Integrated Projects Engineering. Your role will include engineering of ship and machinery systems with layouts and arrangements, managing and planning the deliveries, and fulfilling the document requirements for key stakeholders.

Key accountabilities
- Personnel responsibility for the machinery department
- Allocate resources in ship design, system and conversion projects.
- Prepare contract specifications and cost calculations
- Define the machinery scope in ship design, system and conversion projects.
- Plan future working methods and tools
- Maintain delivery excellence and actively contribute to R&D initiatives and sales support.
Qualifications and experience
- Relevant engineering education, from college or university
- Experience with marine machinery systems and arrangements an advantage
- CAD drafting and drawings, project follow-up software and shipbuilding/operational experience an advantage
