An exciting opportunity has arisen as Commercial Manager, reporting to Vice President Commercial - Global Customer Support. In this role, you will be a part of a small team supporting customers and colleagues in the Europe, Middle East and Africa region, focusing on the Kongsberg Maritime’s aftermarket business in Global Customer Support. The team is part of the commercial; contracting function in Kongsberg Maritime. You will be delivering commercial advice and support to the business in negotiating various agreements with customers through-out the contracting life-cycle, advising on key commercial contract issues and identifying and mitigating risks together with your colleagues in sales and project management.

What you will be doing
- Support with business development opportunities linked to our sales initiatives for aftermarket sales, such as partnering agreements, service offerings and new contracting models.
- Advice, negotiate and draft terms and conditions, using judgement in balancing commercial/legal considerations against the requirements of the business.
- Drive the timely resolution of claims, disputes and litigations in cooperation with corporate legal and insurance support.
- Drive compliance with company policy on use of advisers, anti-bribery and export control compliance.
- Act as a point of contact and liaise with Treasury department for agreement for Bank guarantees, and other payment securities.
- Provide commercial awareness and contracts training to sales and project management teams across Europe, Middle East and Africa.
We think you should have
- Educated to minimum bachelor’s degree level or equivalent in a relevant discipline such as law, finance or business administration.
- Experience in complex, commercial negotiations within demanding timescales.
- Relevant experience in previous commercial or legal roles.
- Experience in working a matrix organization, managing stakeholder relationships.
- Demonstrated knowledge of contracts law and principles.
