We supply a wide range of ocean monitoring sensor systems and the corresponding digital solutions. Our newest digital cloud-based product, Blue Insight, bridges the gap between world class sensors and world class scientists.

Blue Insight creates value for our customers through software deployed to USV, AUV, Offshore Fish Farms, Research Vessels, and Cloud. We strive for the high level of automation required in a world that is increasingly autonomous. Our customers can use automatic deployment of Machine Learning algorithms to edge devices improving operational efficiency.

The Role

We're on the lookout for skilled and passionate Cloud DevOps Engineer to join our Blue Insight team. Whether you're a seasoned pro or a rising star, your role will be pivotal in developing and maintaining solutions within Blue Insight. This role involves working closely with Blue Insight development teams to ensure the seamless deployment and operation of applications across various platforms, from echosounders to cloud-based environments, while maintaining high standards of security and operational efficiency.

Depending on skillset and experience the work may range from architectural responsibilities, Cloud DevOps and Site Reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the Blue Insight teams have a secure and reliable edge and cloud platform to deliver customer value.
  • Drive integration efforts to business systems like CRM, order management and billing.
  • Manage and monitor all installed cloud systems and infrastructure. This includes setting up monitoring and alarm systems.
  • Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
  • Automate Kubernetes and microservices infrastructure to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks.
  • Drive the design of information and operational support systems.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Computer Science or similar
  • Experience with Kubernetes and Docker based infrastructures
  • Experience with self-service online systems
  • Experience with automation software (e.g., Puppet, cfengine, Chef) is an advantage.
  • Experience with Site Reliability is preferable
  • Good understanding of edge computing
  • Development tools such as Microsoft Visual Studio, MSBuild, Azure DevOps Server or similar
  • Good written and oral English communication skills
