Assistant HR Manager

The position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business entities and departments; formulating partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service of various legal entities.

A HR Generalist & Business Partnering aligning and supporting the HR Manager & team prioritising legal formalities (local and global), business impact and management support:

  • in full spectrum of Human Resources & Administration, including Recruitment & Onboarding, Offboarding, Compensation & Benefits, Employee Relations, Performance Management, People Development, Payroll Processing, audits (internal and external), work passes & government-HR related matters etc
  • develop, implement, improve and conduct regular review on local policies and guidelines to ensure the effective implementation of global policies, procedures and programs
  • works closely and communicate effectively with departments and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention
  • driving and supporting ongoing changes in a complex matrix and dynamic environment
  • supervise to ensure that payroll is processed in a timely and efficient manner for all staff
  • implementing strategic programs.

Responsibilities

  • Work hand-in-hand with HR Manager and team in ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day HR activities
  • Work closely with managers to manage and support the delivery of annual HR functional initiatives including the performance management review process, salary review and employee reward process, employee engagement survey, people development (include talent) and succession planning
  • Provide HR business partnering advisory and support to departments to meet business strategy and guidance to managers in all employee relations matters
  • Assist with the deployment of HR programs and initiatives that build effective leadership capability
  • Take ownership and lead on key HR projects as part of longer-term HR strategies
  • Maintaining timely and accurate employee data update on the HR systems/record
  • Foster team cohesiveness
  • Mentoring/provide necessary guidance to HR team
  • Audit and analyse data as and when required
  • Making a difference as a Team-ongoing review to streamline, optimize, re-allocate, re-design, etc
  • Back up HR & Admin team members when necessary
  • Any other ad-hoc HR tasks and projects

Qualifications and experience

  • Degree Holders (HR Academic qualification preferred)
  • Minimum 10 years of HR Generalist & business partnering experience with proven track record (at least 5 years in people management role)
  • Working experience in MNC Environment
  • Strong knowledge in local employment law practices and other HR related government regulations & initiatives; including all work passes matters (new pass, renewal & termination), recruitment & payroll
  • With Expatriates’ management, Workday and full hands-on payroll processing experience will be an added advantage
